WARNING - Rose Island is located a mile offshore. Because
you can't get to it by car, you cannot find it on most
on-line map programs. At last look-see, MapQuest's
directions from the south added 1/2 hour to your travel time
UNLESS you deliberately choose Rt. 138 in RI. We can assure
you the directions below are the most direct from all directions!
With the above understood, to get an
approximate map with distances, you

Jamestown Ferry
SEPTEMBER through JUNE via
Starfish The Foundation provides transportation
aboard "Starfish" by appointment
for both weekly and overnight keepers. Call ahead of time to confirm your departure
point! Departures are from either Fort Adams (one of two docks) or Goat Island
Dock "S".
We will make arrangements for secured overnight parking for
your car at either location (reasonable fee).
JULY and AUGUST via Jamestown
Ferry Daily transportation is provided to
Rose Island by the Jamestown-Newport Ferry between 10
am - 4 pm, only during the summer. It runs back and forth
between Jamestown and Newport like a bus.
