The ferry runs to Rose Island from July 1 to Labor Day on a stop-and-go schedule, like a public bus. It will not stop unless it sees there are riders who signal it to stop.
Be at the departure point with all your belongings at least 15 minutes before the times listed above.
At Rose Island -Raise the yellow dock flag at least 15 minutes before the posted departure time. (Take the flag down before you leave.)
At Fort Adams -Wave your arms to get attention when you see the ferry.
